On Friday, Governor Glenn Youngkin issued Executive Order 39 Promoting Transparency and Efficiency in Permitting and Licensing to reduce wait times, reduce costs and improve the permit, license, certification, and registration, application processes for Virginians.
Executive Order #39 directs agencies to:
- Eliminate obsolete approvals;
- Include approvals involving multiple steps on the Virginia Permit Transparency (VPT) online dashboard
- Reduce approval processing times through streamlining; and
- Digitize and enhance the user experience for the approval application process.
