Kate acts as the Director of Government Affairs for Retail Alliance and the Virginia Retail Federation. She is a cum laude graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law. During law school, she studied abroad with the Mississippi School of Law's Cambridge University program in Cambridge, England. Kate obtained her BA in English from North Carolina State University where she was also a cum laude graduate.

Kate has considerable retail and government affairs experience. She worked at a local jewelry store, Charlotte's, Inc., in Raleigh, N.C., throughout her college years. After college graduation, she held a high-level federal internship in Washington, D.C. During law school, she held a judicial internship for the Honorable Judge Jon Barnwell.

Before joining Retail Alliance and the Virginia Retail Federation, Kate volunteered at the Norfolk Commonwealth'€™s Attorney's office.

Jodi has over 15 years experience in government affairs in the Commonwealth of Virginia as well as on the federal level. Jodi has represented a wide array of clients in front of the General Assembly and the Executive Branch during her career, including spending the last several years specifically on retail issues. During that time, Jodi worked to bridge a coalition of retail representatives throughout the state to ensure a unified voice on behalf of Virginia's retail industry.

Ray has a long history with the Retail Alliance, having joined the organization in 1984. Ray oversees Retail Alliance's association operations and business services functions. For the association, he directs legislative advocacy, membership growth and benefits, events and programs, the Loss Prevention Task Force and annual conference; and all board level meetings and committees.

During his tenure, the business services division of Retail Alliance has expanded into a stand-alone operation, Retail Alliance Business Solutions, offering Equifax credit reports to businesses throughout Virginia (excluding Northern Virginia).

Ray is active in the community and is a current member of the Greater Norfolk Corporation and the Virginia Beach Roundtable. He served as chairman of the Board of Directors for Child and Family Services of Eastern Virginia in 1998-99 and again in 2004-05. He also served on the Virginia Beach Education Foundation Board of Directors, and he is a former board member of the Tidewater Mortgage Bankers Association and the Great Neck Athletic Association and is past chairman of the International Credit Association. A native of Norfolk who now resides in Virginia Beach, Ray attended Tidewater Community College and Old Dominion University.

Nancy is the President/CEO of Retail Merchants Association. Prior to her current role, Nancy was involved in retail for 27 years and held multiple management positions with This End Up Furniture; as the owner of Arcade on Grove; and as a partner with Turn Key Interiors.

Nancy has four years of lobbying experience at the General Assembly and has testified before numerous committees on various retail industry legislation.

Nancy holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. She serves on several boards including the United Way, Richmond Region Tourism, Bon Secours Joint Hospitals Board, Henrico Police Foundation, The 100 Club, Governing Board of the Greater Richmond Convention Center Authority and St. Bridget Church Advisory Board. Nancy's extensive community involvement includes delivering Meals on Wheels and serving as a confirmation teacher and Eucharistic minister at St. Bridget's Church and School. Nancy and husband Jeff live in the Richmond area and have 2 children.
